Brixham Happening 2007

With over 1500 people watching the wrestling event, POW was set right in the middle of the park with all eyes on the wrestlers inside the ring.

POW was kicked of with Mr Jonathan Fry announcing the matches that will be contested in this show. Moments later Senior Referee Lloyd Parker would step through the curtain to join Mr Fry and await the competitors for the first match.

Pretty Marvelous VS Robbie Devonshire & Scott Johns

The match started of with The Prettyboy making jokes about Brixham before Marvelous Mark decided to attack the fans because they were having a good time. Robbie's entrance music hit and you could see in his eyes that he had enough from hearing two wining human beings make fun of his home town. Robbie wasn't able to get into the ring as Pretty Marvelous had the advantage of being in the ring and not allowing Robbie to step inside. Robbie told the two that he would just wait for his tag team partner for the day. Some heavy music hit before the British Thug Scott Johns emerged and made sure that no one would stand in his way and got straight into the ring. Robbie and Scott laughed when they saw Pretty Marvelous run out of the ring.

When the match finally started, The Prettyboy became a little dominant using his technical wrestling skills to out smart Robbie, but the cocky wrestler was in for a surprise as Rob would have the last laugh and beat Prettyboy to a move that would keep taking him down to the floor. Prettyboy would eventually tag in his partner Mark who would try to use his martial art background to his advantage. Unfortunly for him Robbie was building momentum and was able to defeat Mark at every turn.

Pretty Marvelous would use dirty tactics which would include using there manager Becky Summers to keep attacking Rob and interfering on numerous occasions. Eventually Scott Johns would get a tag from Rob and decimate both members of Pretty Marvelous. It was obvious that Scott Johns could not be stopped, even with two people at once. Scott managed to Powerbomb Mark onto Dan showing that he had no remorse.

Rob would get the advantage and hit a few more moves before Becky once again interfered. This gave Pretty Marvelous the idea to work on Robs back. Delivering elbows, submissions and backbreakers, Pretty Marvelous would start to devise a plan that would possibly help them at the end. Robbie tried to get to Scott on many occasions, however Pretty Marvelous worked as always like a tag team and sectioned him away from Scott.

Robbie would eventually get the tag to Scott by escaping a double Powerbomb from Pretty Marvelous. Scott would once again show that he is extremely dominant and took out both members of Pretty Marvelous. Scott hit the Tiger bomb on Mark however wasn't enough to get the three count. Becky would get up on the apron and Scott pushed her away. Near the end of the match Scott would accidentally hit the referee knocking him unconscious. This would prove to be a bad move for Scott as he was hit by a steel chair three times causing him to get busted open on the top of his head.

With Scott taken out, Marvelous Mark hit Rob with the chair on his injured back and the two hit there finisher Pretty Marvelous (Superkick to Spinebuster) to get the three count.

Winners: Pretty Marvelous

 

Jon Harding VS Simon Harding

This next match was two brothers from EWF with a score to settle, who was the better brother?

With that in mind they would both square it off against each other. In the early segment of the match Jon would show that he could out wrestle his brother hitting a consecutive chain of moves from wrist locks to headlocks. Simon would demonstrate his strength over Jon by lifting up and hitting a backdrop, Body Slam and a Suplex. Simon would cut off his brother at every turn and favoured a reverse chin lock which seemed to work in his favour for keeping his brother Jon on the floor.

Jon would eventually build momentum from the crowd and hit two clotheslines before going to the top turnbuckle, only to get thrown off by Simon.

Near the end of the match Jon hit an Enzuguri and then his signature submission the Texas Cloverleaf. The match might have came to an end, however GazzNorks manager AJ came to the ring demanding that the two wrestlers evacuated the ring. This seemed to be some kind of plan as AJ continued to bad mouth the crowd and the wrestlers, GazzNorks and his bodyguard Melvin came to the ring. AJ ordered the problem solver Melvin to get in the ring and decimate Jon Harding. Jon his a few forearms before Melvin exploded with a devastating Spinebuster.

The team took over the ring and announced that no one was man enough to take on GazzNorks. Then from the curtain Lee O' Brian stepped forward and answered there call. Lee was not stupid to go in the ring with three men, so he took a steel chair from beneath the ring and ran inside. GazzNorks team ran away while Lee told the fans that this was not right and challenged GazzNorks to a match later on the show. GazzNorks accepted and the show went to a break.

Winners: Result ended in a no contest

Dexstar VS Becky Summers

The second part of the show commenced and we were treated to an intergender match. This would feature male VS female and definitely won over the crowd. As Dexstar entered the arena the crowd roared chanting his name. Dexstar was clearly a much loved fan favourite. Becky Summers would soon enter being accompanied by her clients Pretty Marvelous. Lloyd Parker had seen enough and ordered the tag team to go back into the backstage area as he knew both would cause trouble much like the first match.

Becky could then be seen looking a little worried, perhaps all her plans went out the window. Both competitors would display a cruiserweight style using fancy quick moves. It showed the Becky was not just a pretty face as she over powered Dexstar on multiple occasions. Dexstar has always been known for having a huge heart which has lead him to many victories. Most people would say that Dexstar would have won the match due to kicking out on Becky's finishers twice!

Dexstar would throw Becky to the outside and Becky landed a little awkwardly. Referee Lloyd attending Becky unaware that Pretty Marvelous acted like sharks and smelt blood. The two hit a modified Doomsday Device which left Dexstar unconscious. Becky hit a leg drop to the back of Dexstars neck and got the three count. Once again Pretty Marvelous had one by cheating.

Winner: Becky Summers

GazzNorks VS Lee O' Brian

The main event was upon us and both were looking extremely good for contenders of winning the match. GazzNorks entered with his team around ring side making a distraction for Lee throughout the whole match. Gazz would show Lee that he was just to strong for him by pushing him around the ring. Lee would show Gazz that he very quick and could reverse Gazz's moves. The story seemed to unfold when Gazz kept hitting Lee with power moves and no matter how many times Lee would reverse, the power and strength was just to much.

Half way through the match Melvin would get involved and attack Lee outside the ring, AJ would save Gazz's skin on multiple occasions and all it seemed was that Lee had no chance of winning the match fair and square. Towards the end of the match, Gazz made a fatal mistake of calling a bad call and because of that received a twisting Neckbreaker that would keep him on the ground for a bit. Lee who had enough of AJ and Melvin jumped outside the ring and hit a cross body on both. Lee went back into the ring and hit a wheelbarrow Neckbreaker before ending the match with a 450 splash to pick up the win.
